S.T.E.P. Academics provides certified educators—95% of whom are retired teachers—for targeted, small-group instruction during regular school hours. Our tutors work in coordination with school leadership and classroom teachers to support K–12 students in:

Instruction is data-driven and designed around school-provided assessment data (e.g., MAP test scores) to help students build confidence, close academic gaps, and make measurable gains—often within 4 to 12 weeks

Through partnerships with districts and private schools (including DCSD Title I programs), S.T.E.P. offers custom academic interventions that align with the goals of federal funding and educational equity initiatives.
